Wednesday I parked at the entrance to Brainard Lake and switched to my bike. Rode the 2+ miles to the Audubon TH and geared up for running. I put on my Due North traction and carried my Microspikes just in case. I got to maybe 500-700 vertical from the summit (but probably still 3/4 mile away) and started walking 'cause the wind was kind of strong in my face and there was snow between the rocks. Summited, then I was glad to turn around and head down. Just felt a little tired today, but it's always a pleasure getting back on the bike for the final ride back to the parking lot. Had to avoid a few ice patches on the road that are starting to form.
